RCDRC Board nominations/elections process

Dear Recovery Partners:
We are currently accepting nominations for our 11 member Board of Directors for Robeson County Disaster Recovery Committee, of which four of the members would include our Executive Committee Officers. Current Executive Committee officer vacancies include: Chair, Vice Chair, Secretary, and Treasurer. Nominations should be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org with an attached resume. Eligible nominees must not have already served as board members/executive committee officers for RCDRC and are not limited to Robeson County residents. Nominees can be nominated by current RCDRC members/Board/officers.
Listed below are the current bylaws which are currently under review for amendment and revision by the newly formed Bylaws Committee. In the bylaws are the current executive committee roles/functions. The RCDRC Board Member Application is also listed below.

Please come to the entrance of the EDUCATION BUILDING at the Ramp. PLEASE DO NOT TRY TO ENTER AT ASBURY HALL!!! RCDRC will have someone there to greet you!! Take the Elevator or stairs to the 2nd floor to the Wesley Fellowship Hall where the meeting will be located. PLEASE PARK ACROSS THE STREET IN THE PARKING LOT FROM THE CHURCH AND NOT ON THE STREET!!
Interested nominees are asked to attend the May 15, 2018 long term recovery meeting. Nominees should prepare to be presented before the RCDRC membership and share in one to three minutes why you want to serve as a board member/officer for the long term recovery committee and what you feel you can do for the community at large. Nominees should also note that changes in roles/functions of executive committee office is pending bylaws revision and all board members will be a part of the forward path of rebuilding the organization towards a more sustainable and resilient future. Nominees will be elected by secret ballot of the membership present at the May 15, 2018 meeting facilitated by NC VOAD, FEMA, and NC EM advisory team members.
